“I wish the government knew how much of an asset young people could be for them in changing Australia for the better.

Change is hard and in the last decade we’ve seen governments of every stripe struggle to implement big reforms. Its cliche but true that young people have a capacity to think long term, see the world as it could be and put a huge amount of energy into making it so.

If governments take the time and develop the skills to genuinely engage with young people (while proposing policies that are in our long term interest) they could find us a powerful force to help convince the broader community to support their reforms.”
